Google might launch its “Designed for Families” program at Google I/O 2015

According to a contact sent out to app developers, Google will finish up launching its “Designed for Families” program at Google I/O on May 28th. In the email, Google is urging developers to opt-in for the family friendly version of Google Play by Thursday, May 28th. That is coincidentally can be of the Google I/O developer conference, so there’s reason to trust that the program could launch sometime tomorrow.




First announced last April, “Designed for Families” aims that can help parents find appropriate, trusted, high-quality applications and games easier. For some time now, the Play Store continues to be riddled with low-quality educational apps and games full of ads, and this also new program has been put in place to aid out to be able problem.

Google I/O 2015 is starting to be quite the presentation. The company can be giving users a chance to have much additional control over app permissions, new voice action controls, therefore we may even get our first taste of Android M.
